Hi there. I just wanted to know your opinion on the 2013 Mind Seize commander deck? I'd like to get a commander deck using black red and blue, I just wanted to know what you think about it if you know it or if you know any other good Black Red and Blue decks.

A

If you’re looking to get into Commander, those decks are a good place to start. They aren’t perfect , and can use a lot of work, but that’s part of the fun of Commander

with the reprinting of allied fetchs do you think we will see a price drop or increacse in nemesis fetchs

A

Now that players in Modern have more land options, we may see a tiny dip in price. Unfortunately the only way we’re going to see a real difference is if they actually reprint the other cycle of fetches.

For the fetch lands, what do you think wizards had in mind in regards to three colored constructed decks? And why is morph a good ability? Morph seems to be a head ache trying to figure out and run there seems to be too many things to keep attract of with it.

A

I think the fetch lands reprint has a lot of reasons behind it. It keeps prices down for Legacy players, adds them to Modern, and increases mana fixing in this block, which was stated to be a problem in the last 3 color block they did.

As for morph, it’s good for a couple reasons. One is that it allows you to spread out the cost of your creature over a couple of turns, making it a little easier to get out. Another is that it’s a VERY skill rewarding mechanic. Tournament players love this type of mechanic, and wizards wants to make sure all types of players are catered to.

I love how you guys spend on answering questions! But since fetches thin out your deck does that decrease or increase the amount of lands you would normally play? (Ex say you play R/G 23 lands normally) 4 Temples 4 shocks, ect…)

A

Historically fetch lands gave not effected the number of lands a deck plays.  Even though cracking a fetch reduces the number of lands in your deck by double what a normal land would, this is generally a good thing the later a game goes, as it reduces the chances of you flooding late game.

With Realmwright's ability does it allow me to tap for two mana off of every land or just the option between two different mana types?

A

You’ll just have the added option for tapping for whatever color you chose.

1/24/2013 Lands you control will have the ability to tap for the color of mana corresponding to the chosen type. They’ll also retain any other abilities they have.

Great Gatherer Comments #2 - Lightning Bolt (M10)

"You have to help us!" Wizards says, barging in to the tiny office. "Creatures have taken over the game! Elf decks, Jund decks, Fae, Zoo- hyper-efficient creatures and underpriced bombs! You have to stop them! They’ve killed draw-go, and turned the game into a four-turn clock."

Lightning Bolt leans back a little. Casually, he puts his feet up on his desk. “Well, boy, I can’t slow down your game for you. I don’t ask questions- players, creatures, it’s all the same. But I can make hyper-efficient mid-range creatures look like Grey Ogres. You’ve seen my work with that guy, right? Brilliant. But you do know that I haven’t worked for you in years?”

Wizards lowers it’s gaze. “We….we know. But we’re desperate. We thought it might not look like an arms race between removal and creatures if we called in past contracts.”

Bolt smirks. “Hey. I’m just glad to be back in the game.” Slowly, he dons a pair of sunglasses. “Hey, Terminate? Get geared up. We’ve got work to do.”

Thinking about making a sliver commander deck with every sliver legendary creature and most sliver cards out there what should I call it

A

How about “Sliver-Me-Timbers” or “I’m A Sliver Not A Fighter” or maybe “That’s Not A Sliver, That’s My Wife!”

Oh, oh! “Sliver? I barely know her!” Go with that one.

Q

johnworkshops asked:

Do you think Mardu feels pushed since both walkers are in its colors? Turn four Sorin into turn five Sarkhan, both +1 for a flying indestructible hasty life linking 5/4 seems good.

A

I wouldnt really call them pushed because of two mythics. I think we’ll have to see where the costing of Raid ends up to be honest. I think the “best” clan is going to be whichever Development costed most aggressively

Q

amusementsofthenerdgasim asked:

Can sarkahan while being transformed into his dragon state be exiled?

A

Though he’s indestructible, that doesn’t keep him from being exiled. Go right ahead and banish him to another dimension!
